Ah, back to work again. Now, if only I still did not feel lethargic most of the time and dizzy at other times. I also hope that the diagnoses of whooping cough was realistic. I don't know if I can take 10 more weeks of this coughing and choking. This is nuts...how do people take this type of illness? Ah hell, why am I complaining? Anyway, I must first acknowledge my appreciation for my sister and Ben (and Sammy) for letting me crash at their place over the weekend. The weather really does make a difference. For some reason though, when I go over to the bay, I tend to eat out a lot. I went to Todai with Kalen and Ellena and that night some of us went to this Vietnamese restuarant they frequent obsessively...no offense...I just don't know what is so great. The service sucks..but, there must be something in the air that keeps them coming back for more. The next day, we went to Olive Garden for lunch. Yea...a little much. Next time...I'll cook there...hmm...that might be a little bad...gotta rethink that one.
Today was the Connections! Showcase at the district. It was nice. Most of the partnerships made displays and presented their yearly efforts of their classes. Their were some students and some parents there as well. For our display, my partner Elaine did a great job. With some help from her daughter, she was able to come out with a dramatic and stylistic display that showcased photos of our connections during the year. Coupled with my videos, which only served to accent the display a little, the whole effect was better than many things I've tried. What a great partner...Here's to another year!
New things I have discovered I like: 1) Music: All American Rejects, 2) Books: The Stone Dance of the Chameleon, 3) Food: Soy Milk.
