Wow, is it November already? Man, what a thought. The last month has been so busy. Work took over for awhile and I have been unable to really take time to write in this journal of mine. Well, to update you all, October was ghastly at work. The big thing was Homecoming. The Freshmen class was lost and I was not much help until I entreated the help of Laurie Lewis. Her ideas and ingenuity helped set us straight and, in 3 days, the float was finished and the class put in a great showing at the halftime show. Other than that, I got conned into doing Anytime school through the semblance of "helping out" kids who needed to pass the english part of the Exit Exam. After this test is done, I hate to quit, but I need to. I suddenly realized that I could use those Mondays and Wednesdays. And, my being there at the moment is really a waste of time and money. The first Connections! trip took place and Elaine and I were the only two chaperones. Man, we thought it would be horrible. However, most of the kids impressed me with being responsive most of the time to the tasks and went through the tour with no difficulty.
Other than that, Sam and Dave both had birthdays. Dave ducked out and we did not celebrate his...yet. Sam, on the other hand, turned 21 and she had a costume party which had a great turnout and most everyone dressed up for the festivities.
Personally, I can't wait for the holidays to begin. I can play video games, visit friends and family, and just enjoy myself for a change. Till then, I just want to say "Hi!" to everyone reading this and hope all is well.
