YEA!!! Vacation! Grades all done for the semester and a lot of relaxing on the way. I hope you all have a fantastic holiday!
Went to China for Thanksgiving week. Seeing our mom's dad for the first time was a unique experience. He was very jovial and talked a lot. Seeing the village in which he grew up and still lives was exciting. The old world charm of the brick houses and the clean, verdant air was endearing. Seeing his home was oddly nostalgic. We met other family as well and had a lot of time to talk, catch up, and eat (lots of hot pot and dim sum). The trip itself was a little short, but we used our time wisely. Our cousin's husband drove us around everywhere. It was very nice. Our other cousin put us up for a night as well. That was after 2 days in HK and 2 days in Guangzhou, where we shopped for many things, including Anna's chinese dresses and other wedding paraphenilia.
Been a little busy lately. Work is very busy and weekends have been half and half with some fun and some meetings and friends.
Hihihi everyone!
Today is my last day at Intel. It has been a growing and learning experience. We were able to share our experiences and learnings through a powerpoint presentation that showcased the affect our time at Intel had on us. Now, it is time to move on. The school year starts on Monday, 8/21 and I am already anxious to begin. I was able to get student lists and other materials ready, but feel I have to get into the classroom to really get some stuff done, like copies and the like.
